Adventure, escape, not embarrassing

The Project: Teenager’s bedroom

The challenge was to create a bedroom for a gaming obsessed 12 year old that could take him to his 18th birthday and still want his friends to hang out there. Through several conversations we managed to agree that the room didn’t have to be painted black to be cool. The result - a room inspired by the iconic Great Wave off Kanagawa print by Katsushika Hokusai. To this we added an old desk painted new and custom joinery with a niche for the ever groovy record player. Lighting tied it all together with a Herman Miller bubble pendant, gallery spot downlights and LED skirting.
